Here's more info on Medicare's enrollment process. If your provider is already in PECOS I understand you can do changes online. The last time I went through a Medicare address change we had to do all the enrollment stuff (CMS-855) because they weren't in the CMS internet based PECOS system. From what I remember it wasn't the easiest process. With regard to Medicare it's been a while since I've had to do a provider address change. I've found making these kind of changes with Blue Cross and the commercial carriers fairly easy and quick. It may be easiest just to call each one or visit their web site for instructions. Unfortunately I don't know of an easier way to notify the insurance companies other than contacting each one. Response: I understand how overwhelming a provider move can be. So, I was wondering if there was a better way? Or is there a list of fax numbers for all the insurance companies to submit form W-9s for address changes? For Medicare, do I really need to re-enroll just for an address change? Please help! I am new to medical billing and am lost. I've been contacting each insurance individually to get a fax number to send a W-9 but it's been time consuming.
